After defeating the God of War in mortal combat, Kusanagi Godo gains the unwanted position of a Campione, or God Slayer, whose duty is to fight any Heretical Gods who become uncontrollable. It's also a job that comes with other problems besides avoiding getting killed, like dealing with his enhanced status attracting a bevy of pretty female followers who are to aid him in his demi-godly duties, such as the manipulative sword-mage Erica Brandelli.
