At the school festival, Shana's confession to Yuji is interrupted by the sudden appearance of Pheles, the Crimson Denizen creator of the Midnight Lost Child inside Yuji. After a containment seal is cast, Margery suddenly goes berserk. Wirhelmina has to restrain her, leaving only Shana to fight Pheles as Yuji's limited powers can't protect him. Shana and Yuji know that Shana must win this battle so they and the other two Flame Hazes can repair the damages the school suffers before the seal disappears.
